Teltronic has become a member of UNIFE, The European Rail Supply Industry Association, the trade association representing Europe’s leading train manufacturers and rail equipment suppliers.
Joining UNIFE marks a further step in Teltronic’s positioning within the rail transport sector and highlights the company’s commitment to the evolution of the industry, technological standardisation, and the promotion of advanced communications solutions for railway environments.
During the latest General Assembly, held on June 11, Teltronic had the opportunity to introduce itself to the rest of the association’s members, sharing its experience in critical communications and its vision on the role of new technologies—such as LTE, 5G and MCX—in the modernisation and digitalisation of railway systems.
Participation in UNIFE will enable the company to collaborate more closely with other key stakeholders in the European rail ecosystem, actively contributing to the development of standards and to shaping future communications solutions for the sector, particularly in relation to the development of FRMCS.

Furthermore, joining UNIFE also reinforces Teltronic’s commitment to the development of a strong European rail ecosystem, based on its own technological capabilities and the promotion of solutions developed in Europe. With experience in both the transport sector and defence environments, the company thus contributes to an integrated vision of critical communications, aligned with the sector’s emerging challenges.
“We are delighted to welcome Teltronic to the UNIFE family. Teltronic’s expertise in telecommunications and the Future Railway Mobile Communication System (FRMCS), together with its role in supporting the deployment of the European Rail Traffic Management System (ERTMS) across Europe, bring significant added value to the European railway sector and the continued growth of the European rail supply industry. We are eager to see Teltronic’s expertise and insights contribute to our collaborative work at European level, helping to shape the future of rail in Europe”, has stated UNIFE’s Director General, Enno Wiebe.
“Becoming part of UNIFE is a great opportunity to strengthen our position in the rail sector and to work alongside the rest of the industry in developing technologies that drive its modernisation; at Teltronic, we will continue to contribute our expertise in critical communications to move towards a more efficient, safe and sustainable transport model,” explained Marta Fontecha, the company’s Product Marketing Director.
