Teltronic has a total of four nominations for the International Critical Communications Awards, the most prestigious recognitions in the field of critical communications globally, which will be presented at the next edition of Critical Communications World to be held in Vienna from 21 to 23 June.
The RTP-800 is aiming to become the “Best MCX device of the year”. This innovative Teltronic equipment is the first on-board radio on the market to incorporate these functionalities as it has demonstrated in the different MCX plugtest sessions in which it has participated, and has already shown its full potential in its first deployments.
In addition, in the category of Best use of Critical Communications in Utilities, the judges have shortlisted the project developed for EDESUR, which is an excellent example of how TETRA technology can help electricity production and distribution companies to improve their management and operation, as incidents in the network are detected practically immediately.
Finally, in the category of Best use of Critical Communications in Public Safety, Teltronic has two options. On the one hand, the TETRA network of RESCAN (Canary Islands) has been selected for the excellent service it provided during the volcanic eruption on the island of La Palma, demonstrating the reliability and security of the system, and making a decisive contribution to the coordination of the different agencies deployed to manage the emergency.
On the other hand, in co-candidacy with our partner in Mexico, Jomtel, the modernisation and updating of the Ciudad Juarez Immediate Response Centre has been selected as a finalist, becoming a multi-platform and multi-technology control and coordination centre, which serves as a connection between public safety agencies and citizens, and which integrates radio communications and a sophisticated video surveillance solution.
