  • Protege México brings together a hundred experts to discuss security, technology, artificial intelligence, and gender
  • Investing in technology against crime means putting resources into the key tool that would allow for the pacification of the country.

Mexico City, June 30, 2025.

On June 26, at the Centro CitiBanamex, the Protege México Forum took place, an event that brought together the best of technological innovation applied to public security.

In an unprecedented call, the forum gathered business leaders from the technology sector, authorities from all three levels of government, C5 specialists, representatives from the private sector, and non-governmental organizations. The objective was to create a space for dialogue, analysis, and reflection on the security crisis facing Mexico, and to discuss how to promote concrete solutions that integrate innovation, technology, and strategic intelligence to protect the population.

“Este foro no sólo plantea un diagnóstico, propone rutas de solución. Es un llamado a que el Estado, la iniciativa privada y la sociedad civil repensemos juntos cómo enfrentar el crimen con las herramientas más efectivas actualmente disponibles”, señaló Óscar Fernández, director general de Teltronic México y presidente del Comité Organizador de Protege México.

“This forum not only presents a diagnosis, it proposes paths to solutions. It is a call for the state, private sector, and civil society to rethink together how to confront crime with the most effective tools currently available,” said Óscar Fernández, general director of Teltronic Mexico and president of the Protege México Organizing Committee.

Diagnosis, strategic vision, and high-impact agenda

The forum opened with the presentation “Challenges and Future of Security in Mexico,” by Leonardo Martín Dorony Saturno, former president of NENA Mexico. The specialist presented the main guidelines of the National Public Security Strategy 2025–2030, emphasizing the role of technology as an institutional driver and a tool for social cohesion.

Throughout the day, a high-level dialogue took place on concrete solutions to address the most important and complex security challenges, with the goal of directly debating public policies and promoting the use of high-impact technological tools in Mexico’s daily reality.

Panels were presented on smart cities with artificial intelligence, gender violence management, prison innovation, and mission-critical operators, among others.

Innovation and technology for everyone’s security
The Protege México Forum gathered representatives from the state governments of Puebla, Edomex, Durango, Guanajuato, and Quintana Roo, as well as international specialists in technology and public security.

The forum promoted a space for reflection on current security challenges and the importance of driving technological solutions that strengthen institutional operational capacity and protect citizens.

“Protege México seeks to accelerate the adoption of effective solutions, strengthen institutional capacities, and generate synergies among key stakeholders, placing innovation at the center of public security decisions,” highlighted Fernández.

In addition to presenting technological solutions, the forum posed a structural discussion: investment in security should not be seen as a cost but as a strategy for development and democratic stability. Technologies applied to prevention, surveillance, and institutional management have already become indispensable tools for professionalizing the State’s response.

“Equipping security forces with advanced tools is essential to respond to crime. But it is also a way to restore public trust and lay the foundations for a safe and just environment,” Fernández concluded.

Launch of Teltronic’s MCX Virtual Mobile Operator

During the forum, Teltronic launched its MCX Virtual Mobile Operator, presented by Marta Fontecha, Director of Product Marketing at Teltronic, and Daniel Alonso, General Director of Resetec.

The MCX Virtual Mobile Operator emerges as an innovative solution to modernize communications for mission-critical users. By leveraging commercial or dedicated broadband networks, MCX enables extended coverage and increases data transmission capacity compared to narrowband technologies.

The presentation included real use cases and demonstrated how its architecture promotes interoperability among different agencies and technologies, guaranteeing priority in communications. It is a flexible and robust platform designed to support critical operations with efficiency and security.
