Teltronic, official 5G network provider at the 5th FRMCS Plugtests

Zaragoza, October 29th 2025

Teltronic is participating in the fifth edition of the FRMCS Plugtests, an event organized by ETSI and the UIC that brings together railway manufacturers and operators to validate the interoperability of solutions based on 3GPP standards.

In this edition, the company has been selected by the UIC to provide the official 5G network for the event, a recognition to its performance in previous editions. This system has been designed with the guarantees of low latency, high availability, and security required in such a demanding environment as the railway sector. And, as required in the FRMCS standard, supports the enablement of MC 5QI bearers that guarantee Mission Critical Quality of Service during operations.

The event, held in Paris, focuses on testing mission-critical services over 5G networks, including MCX communications and functionalities specific to the railway environment. The goal is to validate the interoperability of solutions based on 3GPP standards.

In this edition, the ninth consecutive in which it participates, Teltronic has deployed its complete solution, which includes its own 5G infrastructure, NovaX MCX client and server, CeCoCo dispatcher and RTP-800 onboard radio.

During the various sessions, Teltronic is validating functionalities such as ad-hoc group calls and priority calls, and once again will take part in the Observer Demos, where demonstrations are carried out before regulators, operators, and railway entities to show the validity of interoperability between systems from different manufacturers.
