Espírito Santo Civil Defense
In the event of an emergency, the Espírito Santo Civil Defense is responsible for coordinating multidisciplinary actions involving various government agents and emergency services, such as the Public Security Secretariat, the Fire Department and the Federal Highway Police. The absence of an integrated communication infrastructure hindered the efficiency of operations, creating obstacles for rapid responses in critical scenarios.
In addition, the existence of only one fixed operations center in Vitória limited effective communication and information sharing with incident locations, impairing the accuracy of situational understanding and increasing response time.

The Civil Defense of the State of Espírito Santo, Brazil, in collaboration with Teltronic, implemented an integrated telecommunications system designed to improve response to natural disasters and emergencies through an advanced communications infrastructure.
It included a new command and control center in Vitória, the state capital, a complete autonomous Advanced Command Post, and, one tactical vehicle and one transportable tactical cell. Funded by the World Bank, the project involved several public agencies and relied on a consortium of companies for its execution, with Teltronic being responsible for the Telecommunications solutions.
