Teltronic extends their deployed radiocommunications solutions in Algiers Metro

Zaragoza, Spain, November 2017. Teltronic has signed the contract of a new railway project in Algeria together with the Spanish railway company, CAF. This project is an extension of RTP on-board equipment for Algiers Metro line 1 that links Haï el Badr and Tafourah Grande Poste.

Teltronic already deployed its complete TETRA solution, composed of NEBULA infrastructure and professional on-board equipment of RTP Series, when the line was commissioned in 2011. After that, Teltronic supplied base stations for the 3 new phases of the line (A, B and C) and, recently has been awarded with the supply of additional on-board equipment to be installed in CAF’s trains acquired by the Algerian metro operator.

“With this project, we reaffirm our world-leading position in professional transport communications solutions,” said Felipe Sanjuan, Teltronic’s Business Development Director of Transport.

“This solution leverages the power of TETRA technology to tackle Algiers Metro’s daily operational challenges, making a vital contribution to the safe transportation of millions of passengers.”
