MVC-6000: Multi-bearer Vehicle Console

Anticipating future trends, Teltronic presents the new MVC 6000 as a product that seamlessly integrates narrowband and broadband radio technologies.

To describe a realistic scenario concerning its use, consider for example a city with a 100% TETRA coverage and with broadband system coverage overlap. In the event of an emergency, a Control Centre could broadcast the GPS location of the incident via TETRA to the available patrols and navigation software gives the mobile users the best driving directions without margin for error.

From the scene of the incident, video transmitted from vehicle cameras could also be selected for viewing by an operator at the Control Centre.

In this manner, the Command Centre has the best real-time information to make the proper decisions to manage the incident, with voice communications relying on the TETRA radio network.

In the case that not all vehicles are under broadband coverage the MVC 6000 can manage additional communication interfaces such as 3G and WiFi.

The available services are displayed in the GIS screen through a keep-alive mechanism via TETRA Short Data Service (SDS).
